Hi All,

How does the PMSDK and PMDB database get synchronized. I logged in to both the PMSDK and the PMDB database and saw exactly the same projects. Further, I generally use PMSDK to create projects and update them, I want to know how than this gets updated to PMDB database.

Many thanks

Hi Artagnan,

I think that explains it; both PMSDK and PMDB are aliases connecting to the same database. Now, the question is how do I check that both aliases are connecting to the same database and check the name of the database. Further, I have installed a second database SQL Express, how do I use my SDK files to update the second database.

Thank you

Best Regards

Basically, PMSDK and PMDB are both aliases. When you are getting the same data for both, it means that both aliases are connecting to the same database, most probably, lets say you havent added any databases from default installation, to "pmdb$primavera".

PMSDK, however, is a "special default" "alias" where you the Primavera SDK is connecting to (unless you modified the ODBC connection).
