Hi all,

What would be the quickest way (excel import etc..) of creating a Activity Code - Project level code dictionary in P6v7 comprising around 500 elements ?

Thanks in advance,
Deepak

Deepak,
You need to install SDK first on your machine where Primavera is installed. It is an option that can select when installing Primavera (CD1). Once installed you can use excel SDK to set Project Activity Code.

Deepak,
If your task is to define activity codes then you need excel SDK otherwise you need to do it manually.

Thanks Rodel. Your solution seems to be valid only when activity coding is defined and you want to assign it at Activity level. Apparently, I need a solution to create this coding dictionary (>500 coding elements) before it’s assigned. The access path would be

Enterprise > Activity Codes > Project

You can built this manually, but i can’t figure out how to import it from excel..

Deepak,
If you can identify the activity by filter or sorting then Ctrl+e (fill function) is enough but if not then excel Export/Import function might be appropriate.
