Dear All,

In P6 I have a problem in getting resources sorted in exact levels as in the BOQ entered.

I have typed the resouce dictionary as in the BOQ sorted in levels and assigned for the activities.Now when I export the project and open in another system my sorted levels are getting changed automatically.

The Resource ids are in the ascending order.But even the Sort by resource id ascending does not help.

Its correct only in the source system.Its getting correct only if we move it mannually in P6.Could any one help me in this issue.

I imported on the same basis using update existing for all.
Also I am using Stand alone.
But Still the problem exists.

Anbin,
Does the resource already exist in the new system? When you import the XER, did you select update existing for resource, resource code, Roles etc...?
Another problem that you might encounter and using multi-user environment (network) and multiple users using same layout (without restriction applied) and someone change the arrangement, layout will be change from last user who save the layout.

I saved the layout in the resource assignment sheet and imported to another system.But I am not able to get the source level.the order gets changed anyway.

Where Am I going Wrong?

Anbin,
You can export also the layout from the source and import on the new system. That should solve your problem.
