Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

Is it possible to show notebook as a column?
Cannot find this when I browse through the column list.
Only thing I find is to use notes in the Gant chart attached to the labels.

Thanks
Christian

Hi Christian,

You need to assign first the Notebook Topic to your activities (e.g. Anticipated Problems, Corrective Action, Current Status, etc..).

Thanks a lot for the suggestions from both of you.
Maybe I am blind but when I open the list of available columns I am not able to find Notebook, neither when I am doing the search. Any ideas?

Reason why I need it is when exporting to excel I want to show the notes associated with each of the activities.

Thanks,
Christian

Hi Christian,

There is a workaround, create a new report using activity notebook as your subject areas. Open it in excel and then save it.

When done, create a new UDF and display the newly created UDF say, "Remarks". Then go to file menu --> export --> spreadsheet - (xls).

Note: Include the "Remarks" into the column during exporting.

When done, do it in excel by using the "vlookup" function of excel.

Otherwise, email me @ primavera6@live.com

Regards,

Arnold

Hi Christian,

If you Group & Sort the Columns by List, Notebook is there.
