Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

All,

I’ve observed Planners has different way of using P6 in tracking a construction programme for delay analysis.

Can someone share his/her best way in tracking programme using P6? What P6 features to use, and calculate, and values to track and compare with?

Many thanks to all.

Best,
Edniel

Edniel,

For me, the principles of tracking or monitoring programs or schedules are the same regardless of the tool or software used.

Make sure you had established your baseline or target for comparison. You need to set as well your parameters for measurements, i.e. quantities; costs; time. But the most important thing is you must understand what you are scheduling. Knowing to operate P6 is not Planning.

i’m not a PP mentor by the way...
