Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Anyway, I think you can download the manuals from Oracle’s site. So, I see no point at all in all those long threads asking for a copy, and, also, no manual tells the complete story.

In that case, my apologies for misunderstanding. :-(

Solo Ma., my apologies if I misunderstood your post. But if by "I am asking for an apology," you mean that you feel offended and that Gary owes you an apology, please do not feel that way.

Planning Planet rightly takes its responsibility to protect copyrights very seriously -- to not do so would be to both demean the value of original project management ideas and publications, and to invite litigation. This danger requires both members and moderators to be very careful. And, as ALL members are not ALWAYS careful (though apparently you are!), moderators have to sometimes respectfully remind everyone.

I think Gary’s reminder was extremely polite:

"Could you please confirm that in sharing this manual, you are not infringing copyright? Many thanks."

This requested only a positive response on your part to indicate that you had observed the proper precautions. It seems to me that the matter has been settled, without offense to anyone. (Although I am also sure it will arise again in the future with other members!)

Fraternally in PM,

Steve D.
