Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Guys,

In P6 there are 2 options in calculating start to start Lag for progressed activities. And this may give different project finish or key milestone dates.

What is best practice. should either of these options be rejected as a client or be contested as a contractor.

Cheers

A lot depends on the project status and also on the agressiveness of the Planning Engr.

I would prefer to have this calculated using Early Start, as this will give more conservative Schedule but again this will also lead to delay in start of successor.

Choice is yours!!
