Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi dear planners

Can anyone help regarding followings:

1) The way to break an activity into 2 or more parts in such a way that it appears in the bar chart. Therefore, part of activity will happen in such a date and the other part will happen other time. (Traditionally I could do it with P3 V. 3.1)

2) Is there any ebook or manual for P3 e/c V.5 available for free in the web?

Kind regards,
Shahab.

Please find the following for Primaera Help menu

"At some point in the project, you may need to stop work on an activity for a period of time. Indicate this interruption by specifying suspend and resume dates in the Status tab of Activity Details.

Display Activity Details.

Click the Status tab.

In the Activities window, select the activity you want to suspend.

In the Status tab, enter a Suspend date.

When the activity resumes, enter a Resume date.

"

Good luck

Alex
