Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to set up a UDF as a drop down choice field. Say I want to set up a Yes/No choice. Or even as a yes/no flag.

Also, I have a business plan that shows scheme titles at WBS 2 level. I want to be able to show the PM against that scheme on the WBS bar (like it shows the dates/durations etc.), but I need to know which field might do this. UDF and Activity Code ’Project Manager’ doesn’t do this. I am guessing that I’ll need to type it in against the WBS title, but is there a better way?

Cheers

Emma

Emma,

There is not a UDF pick list type. You have to use codes to get a defined list.

With regards to showing values next to bars, I assume you mean a WBS summary bar on an activity layout. The values you can show next to the bar would limited to the summary activity level values, so I don’t have a better suggestion then adding the PM value in the WBS title. If you just want the WBS bars, the WBS screen would allow you to show WBS UDFs and Responsible Manager next to the bars though.

Regards,
Bill
