Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have an activity, "Concrete Material Testing", with an associated cost which I want to mirror in terms of duration with "Concrete Paving". In other words, Material Testing should start and end with Concrete Paving. Concrete Paving’s Duration has changed a lot because of the constant design tweaks.

The first idea that came to mind is to use a Hammocks Activity, but I have always thought of Hammocks summative activities and not genuine activities.

Is there something wrong with this approach or is there another or better way? I am working on a very basic schedule, but there are constant revisions.

Thanks.
BEN

Hammocks is the right way to go. You need a S-S from activity to hammock and F-F from hammock to activity. Keep the moving task as an activity and the dependent task as a hammock. Then as one changes the other changes with it.

Using just a F-F and keeping the dependent task as an activity will not adjust its duration, only its finish.

try putting a f-f from concrete paving to concrete material testing
