Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

all the activities ID begin with ،°CM،± and in each activity with it own activity code named ،°MAJC،± (Major Code). Please use global change function to replace activity ID with first character ،°C،± and follow with the major code and serial number. Use the global change function to replace them.

The answer what،¯s the global change function that you wrote

Hi this is simple, create a code cale TEMP with a length of 10, and export this to a dbf file, then insert the new ID’s in this field and import. Thereafter do a global change

Be extremely careful when changing activity id’s!

Using Global change, from memory, the syntax is something like

actid="A"&actid (to insert an "A" as a prefix)

You may need to run the trim function as well.

If you can be more descriptive of your problem, perhaps better advice can be given.
