Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Yeah,
more over if during the updating of the program You also change some logic!!!

Is better to have a copy, as because is the baseline, with which You have to report Your actual progress against the planned.

Until You have not to re-schedule it.

That’s why I raise the question to Moises. If remove the actual date, some associate fields need review.

You can do exporting in excel the field you want to change as Activity ID, actual datesAcitivity ID You need as will be the reference when You will import back in P3 the file modified.
Make Your modification and then import on the new files.

Pay attention if your pourpose is to come back to some modification done, or make some what-if analysis, good but do not forget to modify also the percentage completed and/or the remaining duration.
Or you will have an activity pushed back to the run data!

May I know your purpose:
Do you want to display the date only (without "A") in actual date; or
Do you want to change an actual back to forcast one?

The “A” in the Early Start Date column may not be removed.

When the Actual Start Column is displayed then the “A” is not displayed but the Early Start of tasks are not displayed.

You could set up two Custom Data Items (CDI) and copy the Early Start and Early Finish columns to the two new CDIs and then display the CDIs as columns using Global Change. Don’t forget to run the Global Change each time you reschedule.

You are able to open a P3 schedule in SureTrak and then you my customize the character that indicates the actual start date and display a blank character.
