Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi

I understand how to calculate CPI and SPI and use them in communicating project status. However, can anyone tell me what would happen to these indicators if a project change was raised to alter the scope of delivery, which in turn impacted the time and cost to the project?

Would the project have to be re-baselined? if so, how does this affect the month-on-month comparison of the numbers?

If the project isn't re-baelined, then again, how does this affect the results?

Thanks in advance...

A lot of tweaking might be necessary if you want to keep old variance.

Be reminded that targeting an outdated baseline is not a good idea.
