Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

A schedule was built completely by my colleague, and after it was sent to the owner for approval, It was requested to modify it and divide all activities to more detailed ones with maximum duration 21 day.

I started to modify and divide these activities and merge some electromechanical items in the schedule, but I noticed that the finish dates for most activities when I run the schedule changed and pushed one day.

So I tried to reduce the durations for some activities and remain the others to make all finish dates as before and sent it back to the owner for approval.

Unfortunately, the owner disapproved it again and I started to modify it again and the finish dates for most activities when I run the schedule changed and pushed one day again.

Please Can any one guide me to discover the reason????

Hi Mahmoud

1st: Check your and your colleague's calendar. They should be the same.

2nd: Check if the activities are duration driven / task dependent.

3rd: Check hours per day/month of your user related settings

4th: Check options for calculation of schedule.

5th: Check the usage of start- and finish milestones and their calendars.

In general this is a calendar issue.
