Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

1) What finishes that are affected by the delays in installation of External Envelope on a high-rise building construction?

1) What finishes can’t start before completion of External Envelope in each floor?

Please advise

Thanks,

Hi Edniel

It depends on the specification but usually you need weathertight conditions for trades that may be damaged by water intrusion - such as listed by Jacob.

So it is not just the facade but the roof as well.

Once you have a clear working platform and a secure deck above - usually 2 floors - then items such as:

1. Internal masonry - may have to wait a bit until the facade is in place.
2. MEP Ducts - pipes - electric containment but NOT cables.
3. MEP in risers must have a secure walls and top cover.

Best regards

Dear All,

Thanks Jacob.

Could other PPers give me their contributions on the subject regardless in which country is the location of the project.

Thanks,

Edniel
