Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi anoon,

This is the article what Garcia is mentioning about.

Ashraf: This doesn’t cover the DO’s and DoNT’s, but will help you in a much better way.

i think these are important:

1. make sure the schedule encompass the project scope

2. make sure it is dynamic (check for constrained activities)

3. make sure the tasks durations are realistic

4. check for resource loading (unit of measures used)

5. make sure tasks relationships are logical

6. and finally, make sure that the project exists!

Ravi,

Thanks for the checklist, I am wondering how it will help me as a PMC Engineer in approving the Contractor schedule.

Do you have some recommended dos and don’t for a schedule.

Ashraf
