Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Marcio,

Run-down curves are best applied in items that require follow up to get the value to zero in order to complete the project.
This looks differently in the normal S-curve as this has an initial value >0 and finally completes on 0.

One example is that, approval of engineering drawings from the client/consultant which will affect the delay once a timely rundown does not take place. The more higher figure we have for the unapprove drawings, the more we see that our project is concern of delay.

Same thing applies to the Procurement Packages that has been defined in the original plan. Total Procurement packages should run down to 0 before some construction activity start.

So our curve will look like a descent hill which our project tracking starts at the top.

Cheers,

Rollen
