Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hey Guys
Can any one suggest a simple method to modify the hyperlink path collectively??
I have a excel file containing hyperlinks say more that 500, and I want to move that file in another drive suppose from X to X_N or if I renamed it then I need to update the path of all hyperlinks. Do any one have easy way of doing instead of modifying it one by one.
For e.g. old file lying in X:\A\H\M\aaa.xls
and new file X_n:\A\HH\M\aaa.xls

Raj,

Try Edit Find Replace and i hope it should work. For example in Find Place the old Path i.e. X:\A\H\M\ and in replace place the new path and which would be X_n:\A\HH\M. Click to search in formulas and i believe then you are ready to go for ’Replace All’.

Hi Rashid,
It is not updated by itself.
Here old drive and its files shifted in to a new drive and path as I gave example. Since path of all hyperlinks the same(not changed automatically) after placing the file at new location. If I don’t edit them and click hyperlink then that link searchs according to its old path.

If i have got your question right, then just open the file and save it in the desired place, everything should be updated all by itself.
