Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Gentlemen,

We are now near to complete L03 level of typical concrete structure (start was in the basement B04 level). From L03 level (large transfer slab) we have two towers, from L04 to L12 level. Typical level consists of two core walls, columns and suspended slab with beams
(see http://groups.msn.com/stevansarapa/documents.msnw).
I have been asked to do exercise , to compare how faster completion of structure will be achieved by hydraulic climbing formwork for the core wall then in case when we use classic frame formwork for core wall.
Please advice for the production rates for self climbing system.
What can be proposed floor sequence?

Regards,

Stevan

To my knowledge, there is not much gain on using self-climbing form since the starting level is 3 and climb up to 12 only.
To establish the system, you need to spend sometime, at least 3 weeks. For first 5 levels (min), you need consider those adjustment on self climbing together with learning cycle for worker, then the rest is steady cycle time.
Depend the size of the core, the cycle be from 4 days to 7 days per level.
Further, don’t miss the additional plant for this system form, since it is higher than the normal working level, you have crane and concrete pump (may be) above the top level of system formwork. To set up those equipment, need time and resources.
Finally, consider the slender of the core, may not allow to build too high from the constructed floor slab.
