(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Lyna, are you trying to compare the changes between specific sections of the schedule, and ignore other sections? What information are you trying to analyze once you get the schedule into SA?

copy the project
filter for the activities that you DO NOT WANT now you are left with waht you want
press deleted
file export xer
remember you can not schedule THIS project as there may be ties to activites that have been deleted
You need to copy/paste what you want into a new project, and export that. You can ponly export whole projects
