Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Hannes,

Yes...very good point.

In fact this article was a followup to a previous one on the same subject. In the previous article, we showed how you can edit the XER file with a text editor to acomplish the same thing. The reason for the followup article that you commenetd on, is that we still meet lots of folks who seem to strugggle with this so we thought we'd share yet another approach to solving this problem.

You can read the original article here and I would welcome your comments on it http://bit.ly/eyQypZ

Thanks,

Emily

Easiest way to handle:

open a xer-File with a text editor. Right at the beginning you will see the version. Just change this figure and save it. Untill now I never had a problem caused to this silly procedure.
