Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi everyone.  Not a regular poster but I thought this is the best site to ask this question.

So if I have LOEs on my schedule and I want to create a filter to show that specific LOE and the related tasks driving it, is this even possible?

Thanks in advance.

create a new activity code

filter for that one loe

look at the precedessor window and look for the one that has driviing checked

highlight that predecessor

at the bottom click on the GOTO button

keep doing this until you get back to the data date or the project start date

now highlight all of these and right click and select assign then activity codes and assign all of these to the new code that you just created

now filter for the new activity code.

given that you can filter on just about anything (in activity view, which is what I assume you are talking about...), the answer is 'yes'...

as to how, it could be as simple as creating a filter to only show the specific Activity ID's you wish to see, or using a common identifier in another field, like a common word in Activity Name or creating an Activity Code (or even UDF) for this purpose.
