Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

"Please could you check that p6 is reporting the correct costs per period and update the November forecasts to £x"

Incorrect costs are being reported against all periods, how can i change this? Do I need to go back to previous periods and put a negative in to bring them down if they are too high and vice versa if too low?

Also I can find the forecasted costs for some months but I cant change any of them so how do I do this?

Very new with p6 so any help is really great, thanks alot.

The forecasted cost depends on when the activity is scheduled to occur. Within the date range of the activity you can add a curve to the resource to chnnage the distribution of the units or costs. The default is linear. In Activities view look at the resource tab and right clikc and select customize resource columns and expand the general category choose curve. If you are using a LOE with a resouce on it you MUST assign a curve to it or it will be stacked up on the data date.

Also you might want to start using store period performance after each update. Go to tools store period performance.
