Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Essam

i don't know a multiplicator. You'll have to select twice , triple, ... The units are taken from the resource's default units

For a choice by profession, study the chapter of the role concept in your reference manual.

The forst question ( Resource lag ) i got it yasterday

But for second one, i know that i can add whatever resource to an activity . My point is how to avoid clicking the same resource or role while assignment ? Specially that i add resources (Manpower ) by proffesion not by name ?

Hi Essam

This is from the P6 Help:

Original Lag (in the resource tab)

The planned time lag between the activity's planned start date and the resource's planned start date on the activity. If the resource is planned to start work when the activity is planned to start, the planned lag is zero.

You can assign a resource as often as you need - if allowed under project --> tab resources.
