Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Percent complete, duration and activity type.

Hi guys,

Anybody here has experience of Tunnel Construction? What is the best percent complete type to use? How about the duration type as well as activity type?

Any input is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Unit % must be used if you have the real qty of the Material Resource for every activity. I don't recommend Resource dependent as this will make your duration changing everytime Resources changes.

Raymund,

If the productivity rate is available, units % type works better? and it should be resource dependent activity type?

xadlim,

If you estimates the Duration of your activity based on linear meter of tunnel time then use the duration % type.

If productivity rate is not available then use Physical % as you estimated the duration based on assumption.

Fixed duration and Units is recommended.
