Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have inherited a ms project schedule which has all tasks set to fixed units & effort driven. The schedule has no resources and is purely used for forecasting based on durations.

Is there a way to change the activities which are in progress without the % complete & finish date changing?

Regards
John

Have you tried just selecting Tasks and using Task Information, Advanced?
What’s wrong with the way it is, or what is the reason for wanting to change it?
Since there are no resources assigned and no assignments being made, the Task Type and Effort Driven settings have no effect and make no difference and the % Complete and Finish Dates will not change.

Fixed Units and Effort Driven ON are the MSP defaults so it is no surprise that that’s how you get them.
