Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Margin on Electricity

Dear All

Ours is an item rate contract .Any item which are not mentioned in BOQ is a variation item with a fixed mark up margin.Now Client provided us electricity @ one point.Charges & maintanance are born by us.Now Client insist us to share the electricity with another Contractor .The client is reimbursing the electricity charges but not ready to give any margin.Whether we are entltle for any Margin for this item sharing of electricity.

Hi Sankar

I presume you are talking about temporary electricity for construction.

Obviously there is more electricty passing through your metre so you are entitled to the contract margin on the total supply.

It seems the Employer is trying to escape paying the margin to the other contractor if he had provided two connections.

That is unfair.
