Responsibilities as Contract Administrator (June ’04 - May ’05):
• Handled the whole spectrum of construction activities encompassing contract administration, liaising with client /consultants, awarding of subcontracts, computing valuations and contractual claims to project handover.
• Planned, controlled and monitored the bidding process from short listing to prequalification, tender evaluation as well as discussed the scope of the contract, responded to bidder’s queries and evaluated technical bids to select the lowest bidder.
• Examined/analyzed base and detailed designs, technical specifications and other documents to plan project implementation from inception to completion within time/cost constraints.
• Oversaw contract award recommendation, ensured contractors are able to meet their obligations efficiently and effectively.
• Reviewed/analyzed project on a continual basis, initiated feasibility studies, evaluated risks, effected measures to eliminate risks and resolve project issues and drafted delay assessment reports.
• Drafted tender document, project specifications and related documents in compliance with organizational guidelines and project requirements.
• Assisted in the coordination of project planning, value engineering and project packaging as well as ensured the standard operating procedures are implemented for project scheduling.
• Estimated and recommended the required resources, provided advocacy for clients assignments and advised senior management on the impact of resource allocation.
• Organized warranties, performance bonds and insurance and ensured that they are in place in accordance with the main contract and any subcontract conditions.

Overall Responsibilities as Planning/Contract Engineer (Aug ’01 - May ’05):
• Monitored the areas of risk and implemented appropriate measures to eliminate or minimize any adverse influence on completion or fulfillment of the contract.
• Identified required resources and provided advocacy for their assignments. Prudently handled resource management activities and reported to the senior management.
• Scrutinized the tender documents, analyzed contract terms/conditions, specifications and drawings.
• Planned construction schedules and milestones, monitored progress against established schedules, checked for variations and proposed suitable modifications to maneuver project within time/ cost overruns.
• Ascertained the completeness and validity of contractual requirements and reviewed contractual obligations to ensure all terms and conditions are met.
• Conducting feasibility analysis as per standards and practices and provided strategic guidance on the measurement and pricing of construction work.
• Recognized the technical specifications of corporate contract and ensured that contract terms conform to business requirements.
