What road to go down?
Hi to all
I would like some advice please if any one could help,i am 49 yrs young,have spent my working life in construction-manual worker-and between 2003 to 2005 started as trackman on the railway,working through handsig,lookout and controller of site safety and eventually to possession coordinator and helping the p3 planner,which i really enjoyed,hence deciding to follow this as my choosen path,i am currently studying a project management course then i will do either primavera or asta or MS,i have a good knowledge of rail/construction,what else can i do to help myself and does this give me a reasonable chance of getting work?i live in kent,many thanks marc

Many thanks for your reply,i will certainly give them a try,as i also did network rails pps course at kings cross 2005 via mcnicholas rail,may i keep you as a contact please,

With your background, have you thought of seeing what Network Rail have to offer? They are presently looking for planners for Kings Cross, amongst other places. This is not just a rail job but mainly construction/refurbishment.
