GBM (Galliford Try, MWH Global and Mott MacDonald Joint Venture) was awarded two Thames Water Framework AMP-5 contracts to carry out capital works. The framework comprised over 160 projects and is worth in excess of £300m. My role involved programme and project management. The array of projects included clean water, wastewater, SCADA and SEMD works. The project sizes varied from £20k to £60m.

  • Liaised with designers, project managers, operations team and asset integrators to prioritise key projects in order to deliver them efficiently.
  • Evaluated KPI set by the client which had a direct impact on profitability ensuring that all measures are scored in line with terms set in the framework contract.
  • Responsible for analysis of performance management data for all projects in the framework, reporting to management monthly on key metrics including time and cost position.
  • Prepared critical path analysis report, earned value report measuring the CPI and SPI and reporting on project progress against key deliverables and cost implications.


  • Developed and maintained several data portals for Senior Leadership Team in Microsoft Excel, and used VBA programming to automate the process and reduce reporting time from days to minutes.
  • Developed robust, documented processes for the handling of data to ensure accuracy and transparency in figures reported to the client
