SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE :( General overall experience on projects)

 

  • Responsible for managing the project/s Project Control department on a day to day basis. The need to focus on the project scope, priorities, and timescales and associated deliverables as well as effectively managing a team of Planners/Costing engineers, technical assistants, technicians and engineers.
  • Responsible for compilation of  Weekly and  Monthly reports on progress, cost and highlights, achievements, concerns, mitigations, Look ahead also producing Top project one pager reports for Clients/Owners/Shareholders.
  • Manage overall Costs and develop Level 1 to 6 Cost Breakdown structures. Compile Overall Cost report and manage VOWD (Value of Work done), based on physical progress and agree with engineering disciplines to pay and agree actual costs to be paid out. Check cost input into SAP. Responsibility includes agreeing commitments on monthly basis with Contractors and clients. Responsible for the planning of commitments to come and trending till end of project phase.
  • Development of Project systems, Project procedures and processes including including setting up Work Breakdown systems (WBS). Develop the Master Programme and oversee the creation of an integrated hierarchy for projects. Partake in Risk Management reviews, analyzing risks associated with projects, partaking in monthly, quarterly Per (Project Engineering review) and Change management.
  • Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Project Risk Management Process including developing Risk Registers, conducting monthly, quarterly and annual review of Risk and updating the Risk Register. Responsible for related coordination of Risk Management Process with the Business Risk Management Department. Management of Change Control in relation to Variation Notices, Early Warnings/Trending. Expert in the Calculation and Developing Critical Path analysis and also to Perform Forensics Analysis on Schedule and Cost, Forensic Analysis for EOT Claims.
  • Manage Package orders from Design to Procurement, take part in Technical and Commercial adjudications and award of Purchase Orders.
  • Client liaison is a major part of my roles, so I have good written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
  • Compile Level 1 to 5 programmes for projects activities ranging 500 to over 11 000.
  • Advise on late or early implementation decisions, and what the impact of these will have on the project programme.
    Updating of the Master Programme Plan weekly/monthly.
  • Creation of S-Curves/Spreadsheets using weighted methods and also weighted criteria.
    Tracking progress of projects and monitor interface between interdisciplines. (S-Curves and spreadsheets)
    Maintain awareness of key resources available within the industry and advise on the financial implications and timing this may have on the delivery programme.
  • FEED(front end engineering & design) and Controlling of detail design planning and interfacing with procurement and construction.
    Preparing of strategies to resolve conflicts between projects and take advantage of synergies
    Review existing client process and procedures and advice enhancements and integrate with project procedures.
    Ensuring of robust programme processes are in place including, change control, reporting cycles, approval and sign off procedures
    Review the Programme and projects organisation structure for clear accountabilities, alignment to work breakdown structure and reporting lines .Configuration management.
  • Detailed knowledge of the engineering, design, procurement, construction and installation/commissioning process
    Oversee change control across the Programme, manage the Programe level change control process including identification, assessment of impact and approval processes.
    Prepare monthly progress reports including attendance at progress meetings to an agreed programme
    Responsible for overview management and coordination of consolidated planning, progress, Earned Value and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports
    Leads suppliers and contractors to ensure that fully detailed and resource loaded plans are available for the project.
  • Integration of Materials management system with Planning software package (P3)-Import & Export information.
    Overview consistency, quality and timing of reporting from contractors.
    Manage project document control process.
    Coordinating role for information and technical query process.
    Analyses Projects trends and forecasts likely outcomes proven record of successful in project controls arena.
  • Importing/Exporting data between databases (Excel, MS Access, SAP,Etc). Proven computer skills.
