Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Having been a Planner for 12 years on P6, MSP and Pertmaster I have an interest in and feel that the future of Planning is the move towards 4D Planning and its incorporation into Gantt and Site Planning.

Having no prior experience of 4D Planning as within the UK from trying to attend Training courses and organisations that have adopted the practice it still seems in its infancy. Does anyone have any experience of 4D Planning / BIM and any advice on how someone from a Project Planning background could move into this area of Planning?  Is there any Software specifically that you would recommend training in?

Any other tips on entering the 4D Planning world would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks,
