Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all.

I have been working in the West Yorkshire area as a mechanical building services design engineer for the last 6 years. Previously I was a M&E CAD technitain for 6 years. I have 1.5 years experience in asset management. I am IEng ACIBSE registered with CIBSE and EC(UK). Last year I gained entry on to the CIBSE low carbon consultant (Building operation) and low carbon energy assessor (DECs) registers.

My education experience consists of a HND in computer aided engineering, HNC in Building services engineering and a 2:1 BSc(Hons) in project management. My educational knowledge has been strong in project planning rather than the engineering and I have a great understanding and interest in this area but not much practical experience.

I am looking for full time employment as a project planner/planning engineer in the Yorkshire area and any career advice on how to get into this market would be gratefully received.

Best Regards.

Nick.
