Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I came across something new today. Anyone has prior experience with this:

"
The Rapid Results Approach is a structured process that uses short-term (100-day) projects to help build leadership and program management skills as well as accelerate the pace at which organizations achieve results (outcomes). Each 100 day project (called a Rapid Results Initiative or “RRI”) provides a venue in which an organization can build the capacity of its people as they attempt to achieve an ambitious result that is of critical importance to the organization’s long-term strategy. The Approach has been in use for the last 40 years in the public and private sectors – both in developed and developing economies—to enhance the effectiveness and capacity of organizations and individuals.

The main difference between Rapid Results and traditional programs is that in the proposed program the learning and development literally occur while participants are actively working on a critical performance challenge that matters to their organization or overall strategic goals. By contrast, in traditional programs the learning occurs in preparation for, and in the hope of, performance improvements.
In brief, the Approach combines best practices from the disciplines of organizational psychology, change management and capacity building. It creates focused arenas for “learning-by-doing” in which participants have continuous opportunities for growth through self-reflection and experience sharing within and across teams. This reflection and experience-sharing is facilitated by “Coaches” who provide real-time support to team members, team leaders and the sponsors in senior management.

Hi,

www.rapidresults.org

It seems that these guys are trying to do something good and fast in developing countries; HIV/AIDS prevention, primary school enrollment, family planning, education, water, etc.

These are all projects. And they are delivered fast, effective and to the satisfaction of the customer because they did not have much to start with. So it seems like a successful project.

With kind regards,

Samer

Hi Darren

Now I am completely mystified.

Are you saying that if 10,000 people attend it will be all over in 90 minutes?

Best regards

Mike,

It’s probably 100 mandays worth of estimated effort. The more people that go on the course the shorter it becomes ;o)

Hi Samer

Very interesting.

So in 100 days the poor saps are going to.

"learn build leadership and program management skills"
"accelerate the pace at which organizations achieve results (outcomes)"
"enhance the effectiveness and capacity of organizations and individuals".

Why 100 days?

100 minutes could do the same in some sort of motivational address to 10,000 people in a convention.

Please do not reserve a space for me.

Best regards

Mike Testro.
