Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Eddie,

What Andy has told you is spot on. Milestones are significant events during the lifecycle of your project. Things like a major piece of equipment is delivered, or a particular operation completed. Andy’s advice to talk it over with the project manager and the team is your best approach. Not only will you find out what they think the milestones are, but you’ll get more "buy-in" from the project manager and the team to the schedules, plans and reports you produce.

Eddie,
Start and finish pop to mind. ;-)

Seriously though, You should look at the project deliverables, they should give you some pointers.

Also what are the big ticket items according to the project manager and the project team??

Not working in the petro chem industry I’m not sure but, this is a good way to start.
