Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Level of Effort (LOE) for Cost Summation

Hi

 

I am using P6, i have following problem

I have huge project with many activities, i want to add up duration of few consectivite activities , I have defined a dummy activity , assigned it a Level of effort activity type (LOE) , and assigned SS to Predessor and FF to successor ,

Now this dummy activity is summing up the duration , its fine , but its not summing up the budgeted costs . Its showing 0 cost.

Why is it soo...??????

Kindly help.

You would have to add the resource/cost to the Level of effort as well. The Level of effort is in itself another activity but doesnt work in the same way as a summary bar would in MS Project?
