Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

hi all,

P6 reporting being as good as it is, I'm planning on buying P6 Analytics instead of attempting to re-create the P3 "peak" function in Excel.

we currently use P6 v6.2.1, and the resource histogram only shows the "max" resource usage : if you have two tasks (FS linked, 200% resource), P6 will tell you that you need 400% resource for the day, instead of analyzing a bit further and telling that only a 200% peak is needed at a time.

does anyone know if P6 Analytics is capable of calculating resource usage like P3 used to ?

because all I can find is PDF/PPT files with little detail on real program functionnalities...

thanks in advance !
