Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

To import MS Project 2007files to Primavera P6 I have followed the following procedures;

Go to Primavera P6 then Project management module then File -import -import format - Microsoftproject- Project - files to import box appears then we are selecting MS Project file-template then finishing the process .instead file to be imported MS office program automaically opens and error message that cannot save project MS project doesnot support ODBC MPD MDB format. Please save the file in a format that is supported by MS Project. Apppears

I have two questions

First any one can suggest overall solution sothat i can import project files in to p6
Secondly to enable p6 to accept for import in what mode of file in MS project to be saved as eg. Project microsoft project template microsoft excel microsoft excel pivot table csv xml format.

Nizam,
P6 doesn’t support MS Project 2007. You have to save it as MSP 2003 or below. MS Project must be also installed on the same machine where P6 is installed. If MSP is not install use MPX or html format instead.
