Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear guys,

i have defined a user text in the columns as Equipment No.
and i am using this as a referance to refer to the jobs.
this equipment no. in the activities layout can be grouped and sorted.
but when i am going to the resources assignment layout this equipment can neither be put in the columns nor it can be grouped.
so is there any way to get it....

Kumar,
UDF is module specific and usable only on which module it was define (i.e. Activity, Resource, Resource Assignment, Step, WBS, EPS, Project etc...). I suggest to used Activity Code so you can use it in Activity and Resource.
