Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

RL05 Resource Cost Loading Weekly. Organised by WBS report.

When I run the report and priny preview I have the figures I expect to see.

When I run the report to ASCII text file and output to .csv file I open in excel and the data is different.... costs are not correct and data is not showing insome places as £100 format instead it shows as ’100.

I am using windows 7 and office 2007.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

F is for Fiscal Period. You can change that to normal calendar if you wish.

To change Goto Report. Select the report you wanted to modify. Click the wand or Wizard button and click Next until you reached Date Option. Click Timescale and under Date Format tick calendar instead of Fiscal then click Ok. Click Next until you reached to Finish. Click Save Report then click Finish then run the report again.

Many thanks.... this appears to ahve done the trick.

Only thing I have noticed is that the dates are as follows-

F2/1/2010 F2/8/2010 F2/15/2010 F2/22/2010 F3/1/2010 F3/8/2010 F3/15/2010

Do you know what the ’F’ prefix is for and can I remove it??

Thank you again
David

David,
Check your currency settings under Edit-> Users Preferences then click currency tab. Make sure that Show currency symbol is tick and Show decimal digits is tick.
When running the report using ASCII Text File make sure that Field Delimiter is comma (,) and Text Qualifier is double quote (“) and tick view file when done. Also make sure that the extension of file is CSV
