Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I saw the term Horse Blanket in the Project Management Institute’s Practice Standard for Scheduling. The term was undefined in the book’s glossary.

Thanks & Regards,
MUHAMMAD

Dear M.

You are correct, I found the reference in the Figure you mentioned (Fig 2.1, page 6). The filter option does not search the figures apparantly.

I also did an internet search and found the term;
http://www.doubletongued.org/index.php/dictionary/horse_blanket/.

For current practice, you do not have to worry about this term, because it is not used.

With kind regards,

Samer

I suspect that you are referring to what we call a "Navajo Blanket" - Horse Blanket is probably more politically correct these days.

It’s a cross functional chart - for example a RACI chart or a WBS/OBS (Cost code) table.

Dear Muhammad,

I searched the standards; no horse and no blanket words are mentioned within the document.

Which page you did you find them at?

With kind regards,
