Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

hi everyone

what is the difference bet the two?

from site http://www.cmcs.ae/en/products/primavera-project-management.html states that

"Primavera Contractor is built from the same engine as Primavera Project Management for lightning fast imports and superior ease."

since import and export is faster, does that mean contractor is better for such feature w/ p3 importing also?

thanx

The only reason I can think of that import/export might be faster in contractor rather than the full P6 is LAN performance.

Using Contractor or stand-alone P6 in a very volatile environment, e.g. LOTS of import/export of projects will degrade the performance of the low end database. There are not the same facilities for maintaining database performance that you have in the full, multi-user version.
