Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello All,

I use Linea software to draw chainage diagrams with data from P3.

Is there anyone who knows the way of drawing both target and actual chainage diagrams together in one sheet? Unfortunately, when I try to transfer two files from P3 to Linea with multi project option in transfer section, programme is turned off. There is no problem when one file is transferred. Is there any other way?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you,

I have done what you have suggested in your third paragraph. Yes, I agree with you it is not a practical way but at least it is a solution.

Thank you again, best regards.

If you’re referring to LINEA, the old German version, then there is no function to show baseline v. current.

Newer versions of Time chainage software such as Linear Plus and TILOS do allow these functions.

The only workaround that I have thought of is to have a duplicate set of activities that are fixed in position (to simulate a baseline) and to haev activity codes on them that will allow you to display them differently - say as light grey lines.

However I see this as a messy and rather labourious solution. My answer is that a baseline comparison should be done by a standard bar chart and use the time chainage chart to show actual/forecasts only.
