Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Is there any way to change the activity code without having to copy and paste the whole thing again? For eg. the activity code which I have now is ’EBXXXXXXX’ and I want to change it to ’MWXXXXXXX’. Please let me know how to do it.

As far as I know, there is no need for Exclusive access for adding Activities Codes. Please differentiate between Activity ID’s and Activity Codes. Activity Codes are for Organizing & Grouping the Data while Activity ID’s identify the unique activity to be performed with unique ID & description.

As you want to change the Activity ID’s (if there is no sub-project Activity ID Code), then export the project data to Excel and simply find & replace and then import back.

Please close the P3 file in which u r working....while reopening there is one small dialog box (Exclusive option).Please enable it where u can change the activity codes...
