Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

hi
i had to export some progs in p3 for but when i looked at the durations in p3 it had changed
Let me explain in p5
say activity A start date & finish dates are
02/05/07 , 05/08/07.
but same activity A in p3 has start & finish dates
are 02/05/07, 02/08/07.
Calender is same in both,
the relationship remains the same.

then why does it calculate like that?

cheers

This is only a guess but check it out.
I assume your ’planning unit’ in P3 is ’Days’. In P5 the planning unit is always hours, but appears as days. You will need to check the hours/day in ’Admin|Admin Preferences|Time Periods’. This deterimnes the calculation for hours per day etc.
You may need to change the duration, then change it back, for the duration to be re-calculated.

Hope this helps.
