Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

During the leveling, some resources were not leveled. The activities that presented problems, displayed those messages in the log: "Activities that cannot be leveled." and "Activities that cannot be leveled backward".
What does it means? What can I do to solve the problem?

These are the sort of things that will stop leveling:

Have you selected a resource to level in the Level form? The resources to be leveled should selected in the Level form.
Have you set the Limits in the Resource Dictionary? A resource needs a limit to level.
A resource will not be leveled when you assigned a resource to an activity at a Units per time period greater than available in the resource dictionary. This may occur when:
– The Resource Limit in the Resource Dictionary is reduced, or
– A Task has been assigned a resource with a Unit per Time Period that is greater than the Limit, or
– When the Freeze Units per Time Period is unchecked and the duration of an activity has been reduced thus increasing the assigned Units per time period over the maximum available in the Resource form.
Have you assigned a Mandatory constraint to an unleveled task? Tasks with a Mandatory constraint will not be leveled.
Have you set Smoothing to Time constrained. This option may prevent activities without float from leveling.
Have you a Resource Group with the Hierarchical Resource and one or more resource within the group which have not be specified a limit? (which, therefore gives the group unlimited availability).
Have you a corrupt file?
