Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Transferring P3 from old laptop to new.

I’ve got P3 working on my old laptop, which is redundant.

I want to run it on my new one. Does anyone know how I can transfer the registration details across ?

maybe after checking with their database.

coz my first time, it took more than 3 days for them to reply. (maybe they didnt have my registration record.)

but second time, they reply the next day!

oh! btw i only run 1 p3. reason for the request was, changing pcs... (like ur case)

Thanks Akin, I’ve done that and the software is working fine.

Its just that it is asking for the registration key which has to be entered within 30 days. I don’t have this anymore and I’m presuming its contained in a reg file on my old machine which I want to move across to the new machine.

I don’t know if Primavera will give me it again. I’m waiting for them to send it within 3 days and I’ve got the whole of Easter ahead of me as well.

You need P3 CD and the Serial Number. You can only install from the CD; its a straightforward process. You cannot transfer/copy the files from your old laptop to install on new one.
