Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,
This a serious problem that I have encountered during preparation of the Cash Flow. In P3 ver 3, the monthly cost distribution is correctly done, when the Graphic command is used. However, in tabular format command the figures calculated by P3 has been different to the figures calculated by Graphic command.

The agent in Kuwait is Projacs, and they have been unable to answer this problem. In ver 2, this problem was not found.

Dear Mm,

File is too big to email. However, if you make a small programme and load it with costs and observe the cost distribution in graghic option and tabular option, the monthly figures will be different. You will realise tabular distribution is incorrect, and graph (S-Curve) is alright. This mal-function noticed only version 3 and version 2 was ok.

Thanks for the reply.

Since so much money is paid for the primavara license and still such mal-functioning is not solved, it is a serious issue. Because, these days entiltement of the claims are generally calculated using primavera. So loosing faith in such calculations, will result non-applicability. Thus, Primavara technical supp. should action on this seriously.

Can any member in UK or USA bring this to their attention.

Hi,
I think nobody will able to solved. probably it is a bug or similar.
i had the same discussion with Primavera USA tech support.
They gave no acceptable answer. still i have the mails.
the summary of what they said is about some hidden values which are no caculated with the data date values. it is also specifically when there’s actuals.

i am not sure if they have taken it into considration with ver 4.1 or 5.
