Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Btrieve Error

When I try to launch P3 I get the following error.

"P3 for Windows requires at least Btrieve version 6.15. An earlier version is currently in use or was detected. Close other Btrieve applications and re-run P3. The version currently loaded is located in the C:\WINDOWS\system directory."

This issue has accured on several computers where I have tried to install P3. Does anybody have experience with this issue?

Try to give to the user at least ’Power Users’ group membership. See knowledgebase at primavera.com. There are other ways to solve the problem.

Delete P3WIN folder using windows explorer, empty trash can. Under Windows open System folder and delete Btrieve files, you should be able to identify them W34MKDE & W32MKST. Clean reinstall P3 and good luck.
Backup project files to another directory before deleting P3WIN folder.

but u know rustin, i had experience when i try to reinstall p3, it couldn’t reinstall sucesfully because there is some file lefted behind when i do command uninstall, so what i do.... i have to find the balance of file, i close all active file&icon reinstall again.. or else u have to call the supplier for help.
