Guild of Project Controls: Compendium | Roles | Assessment | Certifications | Membership

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Folks

I need to pick your collective brains.

I am currently doing a group dissertation for my MSC in Project Management, and we are looking at how change control can add value and success to a project. One of the areas I have been tasked with is looking at how it effects the scheduling effort.

Now while I can easily write about this, I am having a hard time finding any white papers to reference.

If anyone knows of any which cover this subject, let me know as it would be greatfully appreciated

Many thanks !

Neil

Hi Neil,

Best way is to use PMBOK, as it clearly explains the effect of change control on planning and scheduling.

Can also download paper written by Andrew Dick and available as of now on Paul Harris website. May help you a bit on your dissertation.
